Get NYCultured! 3 Cool Art Exhibitions

Here are 3 interesting and FREE exhibitions around NYC that I want to see!

  • Hyper by French photographer Denis Darzacq @ Laurence Miller Gallery [20 W 57th bet 5th and 6th] - Until April 26, Open daily until 530p - Colorful photos of people suspended in air at a French supermarket, fun!

  • Public Art Fund's Double Take @ BK - Flatbush + Myrtle Ave - Until Sept 2010 - yep, it's a slanting light pole, plus other public art pieces that will make you look twice!

1/16 - Come to The Engadget Show, fresh from CES!

For lovers of the latest in technology and consumer electronics (i.e. CES 2010) or those who don't really know much but are up for a new experience (yes, that would be me, as always: ), come to the FREE taping of The Engadget Show, this Sat 1/16!!

This taping will ft. Erick Tseng from Google, Sr. Product Manager for Android, plus a wrap-up of the cool gizmo and gadgets from CES, AND (my favorite) they are "giving away a bunch of stuff", which is enough reason for me to go in itself haha.

Ok, the important info: TICKETS - 2 options!

  1. Go to the Times Center (41st bet 7th and 8th Ave) @ 2p, when ticketing will start, first come first serve.  You should prob get there by 1p though, because there will surely be a line.
  2. Sprint is giving away 50 guaranteed seats via email or text entry!  For the first 50 people, so do it quick - "ENGADGET" to 467467.  Greg R. (thanks for the heads up about the event!) and I got ours this morning, and it ends tomorrow 1/15, so you still have a shot!

Time for some CES studying...look out for a recap and pics afterwards!

Let's Celebrate 2010 Together!

I'm coming back to NYC just in time to celebrate the new year in the city, and I'd love for you to join us!

A big group of my friends and I are attending and supporting RESTORE2010, "which is the New Year's Eve benefit bash to help Restore rescue women from sex-trafficking in New York City".  All proceeds from the tickets (only $30!!) go to the organization, and I've heard from year's past that this is a fun event!  If anything, we'll all be together, which will be the best part about it: )

celebrating for a cause
This year's event will have a low cover charge, full cash bar, finger foods, dancing, music and more. Each guest receives one free drink ticket, a complimentary champagne toast, and party favors.

Check out all the details and to purchase tix here (only 54 left, as of tonight!!): http://restore2010.eventbrite.com/.  Let me know so we can look out for you!  HAPPY 2010!
